Every summer, our building experiences power outages because the complex is not adequately prepared for the increased electrical demand during the summer months. As we both work from home, these recurring outages have resulted in lost income and significant disruption to our livelihoods. I previously sent a letter regarding this matter and am still awaiting a response. The lack of communication and the continued failure to address this recurring issue are extremely disappointing. I expect a prompt response and a concrete plan to prevent these outages from happening again.
Property Manager Responded: Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We certainly understand how disruptive power outages can be, especially for residents who work from home, and we recognize the impact these interruptions can have on your daily routine. Our office has responded to all inquiries we have received regarding the recent outages and has remained in communication with residents as information has become available. During any outage, residents who need a place to work are always welcome to utilize our clubhouse or private conference room, both of which are available for use until power is restored.Unfortunately, the electrical infrastructure and restoration of service are the responsibility of PSEG, and we are not permitted to repair or modify their equipment. While we are unable to prevent or restore utility outages ourselves, we have made several inquiries to PSEG regarding these recurring outages and have requested that they evaluate what measures can be taken to help reduce the likelihood of future interruptions. We remain hopeful they will be able to provide a long-term solution. We understand your frustration and appreciate your patience as we continue to advocate on behalf of our residents with the utility provider.
